The Meadow is a recording studio in Northeast Nashville built on a simple desire to move music production out of the box, into the artists' hands, and into the air.

In an increasingly digital world, we believe great records don't just begin with expensive equipment—they begin with real performances in rooms.

Somewhere along the way, recording became increasingly isolated. Project studios have made recording more accessible than ever, but often at the expense of dedicated rooms, collaboration, and the little variations that make recordings feel live, dynamic, & human. Commercial studios offer incredible equipment and acoustics, but they can also feel intimidating or financially out of reach for many independent artists. The Meadow exists in the space between those two worlds.

The Meadow aims to combine the warmth and flexibility of a creative project studio with the professionalism, acoustics, and intentionality of a commercial recording environment. It's a place where artists can experiment, take risks, get loud, and make records with people who genuinely care about the outcome.

We believe guitars & drums should breathe. Amplifiers should move air. Musicians should play together whenever possible. Every room has a voice, and every performance deserves the chance to interact with it. Technology is an incredible tool, but we believe it should serve the performance—not replace it.

We place such a strong emphasis on capturing great tones at the source, embracing the imperfections that make a performance memorable, and arrangements where every instrument has a purpose.

The Meadow features founder Dan Synn's diverse collection of vintage & boutique amplifiers & guitars as well as a range of microphones & other fun toys. But The Meadow is more than a room full of microphones and equipment. It's a place where artists can ask questions, develop ideas, and grow alongside producers and engineers who are invested in the people behind the music just as much as the music itself.
